by HiRez ESports | Jul 08, 2014

With the Smite World Championship Regional Qualifiers coming to a close, we're going to go a little more in depth with some possible outcomes for teams battling it out for a spot in our top 4.  Throughout the week we will be breaking down who can potentially earn themselves one of these spots, and how exactly they need to do it.  Fighting for a spot in our Regional LAN, as well as a spot in our upcoming Smite Pro League, there is a lot on the line here and each team will be fighting tooth and nail to earn themselves the position.  Let's get each of these teams up on the chopping block and pick apart where they've come from, and where they may be headed.

  • If they can secure a win over CogRed in the Round of 8 this week as well as coming in AT LEAST 3rd place overall, they will overthrow CogRed in the rankings and land themselves in the Smite Pro League.

How to get into top 4:  There are a few ways Agilitas can squeeze themselves back into the top 4.

  • The most obvious answer here is taking 1st place in week 10 (310pts).
  • If they finish in 2nd place (270pts): IIIII cannot place higher than 3rd (257pts) OR SK Gaming cannot finish higher than 4th (257pts).
  • If Agilitas finishes in 3rd place (257pts), SK Gaming will have to be eliminated in he Round of 8 (242pts) and IIIII has to place 4th (242pts).
  • Finally, if Agilitas places 4th (235pts) they will need SK Gaming to be eliminated before the round of 8 (234pts), and IIIII not making it further than the Round of 8 or sooner (227pts).  If one of these scenarios can play out Agilitas will secure their spot in our Smite Pro League.
